5. You Cannot Apply if You Are Repeating Class 5th

8. Special Notes for Urban and Rural Students

The Navodaya exam has a special focus on students from rural areas, and there is a reservation for rural candidates.

Students from rural areas are given special attention on the Navodaya exam, and candidates from these areas are given preference. Candidates who are provisionally chosen from the district’s rural areas will hold at least 75% of the seats in that district.

The remaining seats are open which will be filled on merit from both Urban and Rural Area candidates of the district as per criteria. 9. No Special Reservation for Transgender Candidates

There is no special criteria for transgender student in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. For the purpose of Reservation under SC, ST, OBC, and Divyang the Transgender students will be treated as a Boy candidate. So, all the reservations which are available to a boy candidate that same will be offered to a Transgender candidate.
